Pros: Just tried the new prix fixe brunch menu! Food was still delicious as before especially the crab omelette and halva manoush and I liked the fact that I didn't have to get up repeatedly for the mimosa bar. Cons: I REALLY missed the fried halloumi, that was the star of my last visit so I was sad to see it go. I also wasn't a huge fan of the Layali Lubnan. (Has a floral flavor but not particular sweet so this is a personal taste thing and other people in our party loved it) Lastly the set price of $48 may be a bit high it if you're just getting drip coffee/non alcoholic beverages. Before the menu change you had an option of whether or not you could do bottomless and now you don't, so something to keep in mind depending on the preferences of the group

I came here for the three course menu brunch with a group of my friends on a Saturday morning. We had made a reservation prior, which was a good move our part, because the restaurant was very busy. We decided to go for the bottomless mimosas option, in addition to the brunch, which we thoroughly enjoyed. For starters, highlights were definitely the patatas bravas. The hummus bubble goodies were fine, but there was definitely not enough pita for our party size, and it took a while for them to come out with more. The shakshuka was a standout for the main course. The brussels sprouts were a little undercooked, and the latkes were under seasoned and kind of mushy. The challah French toast was delicious, though I wish that that the portion size had been larger. The desserts were absolutely incredible, and we enjoyed all of them. I think overall, the food was very delicious, and I was extremely satisfied. I think the service was fine, though rather slow. Despite opting for the bottomless mimosas option, it felt like our champagne bottle was always empty, and required us asking the servers multiple times for a new bottle of champagne. I would definitely come back here, but would recommend it only if you have a lot of time.

Ala is a Middle Eastern restaurant in the Dupont Circle area. The menu is Levantine known for meze spreads of of hot and cold dishes, most notably hummus, tabbouleh and baba ghanoush, accompanied by bread. We were a party of 4 and we did the bottomless brunch with bottomless mimosas. We ordered baba ghanoush, hummus, feta croquette, crab omelette and samboosa, quzi kofta burger, latke and karanab. For dessert, we had halva mousse and antep baklava. The servers were very attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. I really enjoyed their mimosas! It is a bit on the pricey end but the portions are pretty decent. The food is classic Middle Eastern and very flavorful. Each reservation has a 90 minute limit starting from the reservation time but the servers were nice enough to give us an extra 30 minutes especially since the brunch hour was about to close. We stayed in the upper floor with multiple people. It didn't feel crowded and the ambience was very Mediterranean. I've been here once before for dinner. I would definitely be open to come back.

Came here for brunch and our group of 5 was seated at a big table, which I always appreciate so that we each have more space. We all did the bottomless prefix brunch. Ala has a juice bar where you can adorn your Bloody Marys or Mimosas with, so I added tons of olives to my Bloody Mary and then fresh strawberries to my Mimosa when I wanted to change drinks. I ordered these 3 off of the prefix menu - 1) baba ghanoush 2) crab omelette (this one was my favorite!) 3) zalabia
